IXIL performance pipe Z750 2007

Post by Kermitz750 »

well, i've just ordered a carbon IXIL pipe for the Z, (thanks Hype for the info on how to fit it) a fender eliminator and some lowering links. (I'm so short i sued the council for building the footpath too close to my ass! :Rodney Rude.) I've only had the bike a week and ridden it home from buying it, haven't ridden it since then. looking into getting a k&n air filter and power commander, maybe even dropping a tooth on the front sprocket for better acceleration. has anyone else done these mods and is it worth it? I'll post some pics when the goodies arrive of the transformation into my bike! :kuda:

http://www.bandcexpress.co.uk/skufilter/ not sure if this link will work, but its B&c Express, and its a renthal front sprocket code 446-520-14 - the 446-520-15 is the std size. It's gonna be about $43 delivered to your door, but you'll get one.

Hmm, the pipe sounds and looks good!

Question re the pipe - how is the quality of the pipe, and can you remove the sticker from it? I've been thinking of changing my silver Yoshies on my Z1000 for a carbon pipe(s) to match the black them I have going .These pipes keep popping up fairly cheap and they offer a 4 - 1 conversion, which I don't mind too much!

the quality is good, but not as good as a akra or micron but then again its 1/4 the price..... the sticker can be peeled off i guess, might be easier before it gets heated up though. i little bit of black paint has flaked off under the rear cap, but that might be coz i have taken it off a few times to see what it sounds like without the baffle. sounds awesome but there is a flat spot down low, good for the track when you keep the revs high, also the baffle in is better for just cruising around, doesn't hurt the ears as much.
