ok, so, having read this whole thread again, anyone have any ideas as to why a Male rider( 30y.o.,licenced 5+ years, with At-Fault riding claim in last 5 years) on a 2005 CB900 has a policy HALF the price of a Female rider( slightly older, no At-Fault claims, held licence same period) on a 2002 ZZR600??!! :x
I used to have a handle on Life,
but it fell off.

Meoooow  .

Actually the insurance for my R1 was only a couple of hundred more than my ZRX1200 and ZX12r. Maybe because I'm 'nearly' as old as Phil :P and haven't crashed since the late 90's. Touch wood.

At the same insurer? Because if it was the same insurer, I'd be ringing them up and asking them that question. If it's a different insurer, I'd be making sure I shopped around for a better policy when it was renewal time (unless the insurer you're with has better coverage / better service - it's not only about the premium)

yes, same insurers - he has since changed from nrma to gio and the deal was the same - the only explanation I got (from both numpty companies) was there's an "R" in the model name, so "obviously" its a racing model

Pity theory theory goes out the window with the ZR range - I'd hardly call a Zeph 550/750/1100 a race bike...........

That is seriously retarded. Good on you for asking though.
Was it hard not to laugh at the poor operator who had to give you that line?

yeah the way the insurer classifies the 'riskier' bike would be the factor there.
