I live 15 mins to the west of Lancefield :).

I used to drive that way to Heathcote but thanks to Google maps and my Ex's GPS I have now found the better way to Heathcote from here is via Kyneton and Redesdale, much quicker and a better ride/drive to boot...as long as you are careful in Redesdale for the same reason as Tooborac and take it easy on the bridge (wooden planks).

35 years without a fine. Like us, he gets a fine and looses a few points.

Yeah he's a cop. Also human and not perfect. While it dont look good, is it really that big a deal? Really??

Yeah it probably is actually, given the "speed kills" mantra repeated ad nauseum here in Vic, at 10k over it's surprising he didn't as he said, lose it into a tree or drift into oncoming traffic. Massively dangerous that 10k over..

Hit 88mph with the time dilation circuitry and flux capacitor set to the wrong end-date, simple really.

In 1955 that hill wasn't there, bastard council workers .

As mick_dundee has stated, it is the the countless warnings we have witnessed on television and gigantic 'message trailers' that makes us really wonder. Myself, I rode/drove past a massive billboard of this guy, every fucking week day, with captions below his face, "We'll stop you before you hurt someone".. or something along the lines of. This whole situation is a disappointment.

Sure.. he is human, but he is one of the big faces behind the TAC. He is a major pawn on their board. He cannot afford to make mistakes.. he cannot afford to drift off into a dreamy daze with his foot getting heavier. Hell knows, he could have mowed down an innocent little toddler. 35 years and not having any traffic offences, well anyone can believe what they want.

According to Mr Lay’s own road safety 'rules', his chance of crashing increased by four times during his reckless encounter with the peddle.

Some other wise words from Ken Lay in this article..

http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/n ... 5756939668

Why can't people just admit they fucking speed? If you lose all concentration you drift off the road, if you lose a little then you either speed or go slower. NOW, even Ken Lay, the Victorian Police force's Deputy Commissioner is unable to comply with the speed limits. It seems like you can't win in this day and age.

If you put yourself on a pedistool like this guy has, lecturing us non stop about the danger then he has set himself up to be an example.
Well he is an example now of hypocrisy. If you cant back up your talk then shut the FFFffk up .Also i am pissed that this was not released when it happened, probably because gumby brumby had already spent a fortune on advertisement. If you cant tell i am pissed about this shit.

If your chances of crashing increases four fold by doing ten k's.........
We would all clean up at the Casino Boy's :kuda:

The only thing speed kill's is your Bank balance.
Speed limit's only kill concentration (on anything but your speedo that is)
