Taking the term 'Visible Presence' to new heights !!!!

Post by Gosling1 »

You gotta love the NSW Highway Patrol........

Latest effort - parking a HWP car in the middle of the highway (X-over lane) - with a dummy inside, wearing a Hi-vis vest and a baseball cap !!!! Yes, that's right - a dummy, 1/2 dressed to look like a cop, with the sole purpose of providing a 'visible' deterent.....yet without the ability to do anything about speeding drivers....

This hit the news last night, I just about wet my pants.......

Unreal.

Bet it slows you down

They did big signs of yellow canary cars here in the eighties on small trailers, damn it got those brakes nice and hot when you spotted one in the distance...for a while anyway..until you realised what it was.

Hey, now there's an idea.... If I could get a robot to ride around on my bike, I could sit at home and do bugger all.

i passed a car on the princess hwy near jervis bay, was red, had police stickers but no lights on roof, no one in it, and didnt look like there was a camera set up in it either.

it worked, i slowed to about 10 under the limit with the rest of the traffic to have a look

Did you see the news tonight?
Some truckies are mounting camera's in their trucks to get cars and BIKES that overtake
them in dangerous area's.
That being double white lines etc, I must say it's really dangerous to overtake a truck doing
3 kph when you can see 500 mtr's up the road and he''s doing 3 kph, even on double white lines
You truckies want a war? I'll fucken give you one you won't soon forget MF's! :x

Jeez you easties are a bit extreme!?

WA country coppers just park a patrol car or divvy van in the main street with the lights goings then head back to the station for 'refreshments' on major public holidays ----- with radar activated to set 'dash ornaments' off ...simple ,but effective :D :D
