Motorcycle rider busted doing 112km/h over limit, bike seized under hoon laws


A MOTORCYCLIST nabbed at more than 110km/h over the speed limit has had his bike seized under hoon laws.

Police caught the rider - a man, 51, from Ivanhoe - doing 162 km/h in a 50k/mh zone on Turner Street, Port Melbourne.

The Ivanhoe man told police he didn't want to be late for work, before police seized his motorcycle.

He will be charged with a summons for riding at a dangerous speed and exceeding the speed limit by more than 45k/ph.
