Decals

Post by laidback »

Am looking for an affordable supplier of decals for my 9 (2003/F2). I am having some repainting done and need to replace some of the decals and the genuine are just sooooo overpriced...$240 for a triangle of silver vinyl 195mm X 70mm. Total for 3 decals that i need are about $450.

Had a local signwriter make a set using the ones on the bike as templates but colours are just off and as this was JP's pride and joy I want a perfect match.

Hate the thought of paying Kawasaki this much for some vinyl... :(

You will find that the stickers are screen printed & die cut, even the plain colours are screen printed so the chances of getting a signage vinyl to match will be near impossible..there are on line people doing them but they are digitally printed & are not the same so beware with getting them that way.
You options are pretty slim to get an exact match :?

Or do the whole bike over if its cheaper than getting them from Kawasaki.

If it's a really special bike, why not get the decal airbrushed on?

then they are smooth and can have some flake added for special effect?
