Hi,
I am new to motorcycle riding, however have always wanted to ride since I was very young. I am now 27 and finally had the money and the opportunity to purchase a bike, and it has been great so far. I just have a few questions I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on:
- Is it legal to ride with the brake and clutch bars broken? I dropped the bike a few times when I was a complete NOOB and the lengths are down to 2/3 what they originally were. The Midas guy was telling me they are meant to snap off when you drop the bike
- What type of petrol is best for the bike, regular unleaded or premium?
- Any suggestions for some routes in and around Sydney?
Thanks all.
Asfand
PS live in Sydney CBD but keep my bike at my parent’s home in Toongabbie to ride on weekends.

Hi Asfand welcome to KSRC
to answer your questions ...2/3 is ok but dangerous without the ball end
.allways use Premium if you can, for the sake of a few bucks its better for your engine, as for rides there is a multitude round the outskirts of Sydney, have a look in our rides section for info

Re: New member ZZR250
When I had my zzr the clutch lever was broken as you described, didn't get any problems from blue or green slip checks. It did wear away at my glove however so for the sake of a $15 lever I would get it replaced sooner rather than later if I had the chance.
Oh and welcome
