ZZR600 crash knobs
ZZR600 crash knobs
I noticed some posts in the past on this, has anyone successfully found any crash/slide knobs for a 2004 ZZR600 ?
I do not want to cut to fit them.
Whilst ugly, is there any other methods such as the old fashion sissy/crash bars that would fit on this model ?
I only wanted to protect from stand drops (not crashes), as the bike is heavy for me and my main concern.
Cheers, Anita

I guess this means I am better off investing "fast" in someone to build my confidence and riding skills.

Re: ZZR600 crash knobs
I was hoping to find a mechanic to do a service, who would also reduce it to single seat (need the paperwork) and ideally put the knobs on.
Have no idea how to find someone to trust who would properly attach the crash knobs so as to minimise risk of damaging the bike as seems to be the main concern, and also so it won't lower the value of the bike (hate cutting into the fairing).

Re: ZZR600 crash knobs
Tony (ty) put some on his ZZR...not that it helped in the end
.
He had to cut holes in the fairings, there's nowhere to bolt them without doing this. I had the same model and didn't bother (didn't want to cut the fairing).

Re: ZZR600 crash knobs
It helped on one off Mick - just not the one that killed it
But yes - I searched for no-chop ones and couldn't find any decent - though I'd thought that most frame-mount jobbies are standard enough to work? Could be wrong. Though the shape of the ZZR fairings (big-gut) means the right spot is hard to find.
It may be worth giving our mate KANEG and holler and see what he can do.
FYI to the OP - my chop job is on the website

If you have no fear, you're not going fast enough.
Never argue with an idiot. He'll drag you down to his level, then beat you with experience.

I noticed the chop job....I really don't want to cut the fairing.
