According to witnesses, a cager decided it would save time if he didn't look or indicate before pulling out onto Williams Rd, in South Yarra, as I was scooting along. I went into him and Zoe was killed instantly. She will be missed.
I have amnesia from the accident. I do not remember anything after a certain point the night before until the afternoon the day of the accident. I wish I did as I want to be able to analyse if I could have possibly avoided the accident or not, by swerving or something like that. I would have also liked to have seen that cager's face as I was about 1 metre from impact but that is just because I was not given the opportunity to yell at him. He was lucky I was unconscious as I do not think I would have been very happy with him. I am not permitted, by law, to disclose his name or details on forums such as this. Again, he is lucky.
On the bright and spite-free side, I have a new bike with the extras I want, can't wait to scrub in that rear tyre and am praying for sunshine/dry roads! If I could get her in the apartment she'd be in the lounge so I can look at her. Steph (my housemate) would have no say in the matter, even though she doesn't like bikes!
Once I have taken her out, properly, a few times I will start posting rides from Melbs again.
Oh, it's great to not need public transport anymore!
King Nicholas. Keeping it unreal.
