

I have done car's before and didn't have to do this.....Just seem's like it could get messy?
On mine its not to difficult..I can get it filled and past the headers,not losing to much.I'm sure every bike is different .ty wrote:dunno how you'd get a filled oil filter onto any bike, unless you empty it out again before fitting so that 'filling' it just 'lines' it? all oil would pour out all over the headers as you're screwing the bugger on.
I never filled any of mine - just a coating around the rubber seal

when you drain the oil, not all of it comes out, theres still plenty around.
if you have had the sump out, and/or rebuilt an engine its dry so you'd want oil there, but your bike will only have sat there for 1/2 hour to 1 hour , oils it still everywhere it needs to be.
