z1000 drag bars, twin headlight

Post by pezz »

well i started to mess about with some new bars and headlight unit today

bars are mca drag flats
lights and mount kit are mca as well

the bars took some work to get everything to clear and fit, but i got it there in the end
headlight is loose mounted, now just to tidy up the wiring, fit up some blinkers, make a mount for the dash and make up a mini screen to tidy it all up
then its on with all the other mods

what ya fink?

constructive critasism welcome

at 6'2" my body possition feels much better, but the small amount of draw on the bars does work your wrists more when hanging the knee out

i have three sets of bars now so if i get the shytes with them i'm sure i can swap

i remember when i bought the bike saying " that headlight has to go, it is filth" but i guess thats my opinion, not yours... each to there own i say :D
was keen on a dirtbike style light and surround, but after seeing the poor light output a mate's had, i though, bugger it... twin light it is.... after all i wish it was a speed triple (pezz puts on flame suit  )

bit more of a update..

fitted some small blinkers up on the front and blacked the side covers and radiator covers, think i will get the frame covers and peg mounts powdercoated as i think paint will rub off... any thoughts on this?
still need to wire it all up and sort out the dash and mini screen

You requested constructive criticism............. I couldn't criticise anything with your bike.... so I had to find something else

Thanks for the links.... i'll check them both out and let you know which one is worthwhile and which one stinks ;)
