Interesting Kwakas that get good mileage
Hey guys
I'm loosely on the lookout for something that is interesting but that gets 300km/tank fairly consistently. As I do a lot of miles I get the shits having to stop for fuel 3-4 times a week.
I've love a 'Crim' but told they get more like 150/tank so you can keep that... I used to hate my 12R returning 230-250 and my VTR1000 returning 210-220... my GSX1400 gets a consistent 350-360 and over 400 on the highway.

A gently ridden ZRX will return about 350klms to a tank!

I love my bike and it gets approx 300k on main and 40k on reserve -and that's with me and luggage on it.
It's a lot smaller and older than the bikes you've mentioned tho.......

yeah i don't want something that old as it needs to be daily transport and I have had my fair share of old bikes... one of my favourite bikes ever was the gpx600r and I would love to 'streetfighter' one some day.

Re: Interesting Kwakas that get good mileage
I ran dry at 350km on my CBR600 and managed to squeese 290km on the 10 once - it was a very boring day. With freeway riding I usually see 220km to the fuel light with another 3L in the tank (aprox 45Km). My commute to work is only 30km each way so it doesn't bother me much, and I only ride in once or twice a week.

even with one tooth off the front..... I have no problems going more than 300km per tank on my 'barge'
I can go to PI and back (around 280kms from/to home) on 17 litres and that still leaves 4 and a bit in the tank
GOTTA LUV the 12R!!

Re: Interesting Kwakas that get good mileage
Just yesterday I carried a few litres to see how far I would get on the 9R tank (19L?), about 356km when it started to run out. Since the fuel tap knob is missing I assume I'm always on reserve. The 21L ZZR1200 I had would get close to 400 on mild run usual was 320 ish.

Re: Interesting Kwakas that get good mileage
ZZR1100 D model 280 + on main tank then 6L left in reserve . If you ride it with a little care it will return the same L per 100 as a ZZR600 .

Re: Interesting Kwakas that get good mileage
On trips, I can always count on at least 320kms out of a tank on my ZZR1100 before I have to hit reserve. I've squeezed out 400 kms out of both, last 47kms was very slow but.
