nope, i meant 1/20, with a smaller aperture depending on light conditions.Mick C wrote:Did you mean 1/200 not 1/20?MrWasabi wrote:...Keep at it with the panning shots, from personal experience ive tried using a shutter speed of 1/20, which gives a nice blackground blur, depending on light conditions.

OK, you'd definitely need your panning technique down pat for that shutter speed then

Re: Old Pacific Highway, 2nd August
I'd start learning the technique with something closer to 1/45, less background blur but more chance of getting the subject sharp. Once you have the effect with 1/45, then start to slow it down to increase the background blur. Also, I try and go with a large aperture (F4.5-F5.6) as it throws the backgroung further out of focus and help bring the subject out of the background.MrWasabi wrote:nope, i meant 1/20, with a smaller aperture depending on light conditions.Mick C wrote:Did you mean 1/200 not 1/20?MrWasabi wrote:...Keep at it with the panning shots, from personal experience ive tried using a shutter speed of 1/20, which gives a nice blackground blur, depending on light conditions.
