ZX14 Steering Damper

Post by seiko1 »

Has anyone got one fitted to a 14 or do they have some sort of factory adjustment built in?
I was doing about 130 in 4th and gave her a good hard twist of the throttle and up she came.
Exciting right?
But nearly ended up with a bad tank slapper because the steering is soooooo light
I don't even have an owners manual for this new girl so any advice would be greatly appreciated :kuda:

So you reckon I'll get used to the headshake and be able to avoid it ;)

Hint.......Keep the front wheel straight upon landing ;) a SD is not for wheelie headshake its more for cornering chatter etc.

And if you're really worried, it's probably worth getting your suspension setup properly before lashing out on a dampener, the 14 shouldn't really need one.
