ZX6R 2006 - Vortex rearsets - brake light switch

Post by aus36 »

Hi all,

I'm thinking about buying a set of Vortex rearsets for my zx6r/zx636 2006. I'm still thinking about converting it to a full fledge track bike, but for the moment, will still be doing road riding with it. When I asked about a brake light switch (which I have been told do not come with after-market rearset packages), some suppliers did not seem to know what to give me. One ebay supplier has given me an option as specified below:

they have one thats 10mm x 1.25pitch and ones thats 10mm x 1.00 pitch

I've got absolutely NFI about these things and was hoping if someone could tell me which one to get.

Cheers :kuda:

From memory you need the 1.25mm pitch ones. They work well, and the Vortex rearsets are horn.

the vortex rearsets themselves are still $130 cheaper (incl. shipping) on ebay so I will still go for them, but didnt notice Bike Gear Warehouse selling universal brake light switches, so I will get it from BGW instead. The $130 in saving can then possibly go to a Factory Pro Shift Kit, which is next on the list.

Cheers guys!
Dave#3 - thanks i'll keep that in mind
