Replacment Clutch Assembly ?

Post by Fless »

G"day guys.

I Have a 2000 zx12 with a rumbly clutch, it sounds like the damper springs have slackend off as it rumbles only when the clutch is engaged at idle and the bike lashes when moving slow. Has anyone had this problem and if so what was the fix ?

Great forum guys, I have been reading it whenever I get time.

Cheers............Keith

If the springs are "slackening off" you should be getting clucth slip.?
You may have warped plates.

You can get a clutch kit from one of our sponsors - Aussie parts - http://www.aussieparts.com/clutches.htm

Tell him your from KSRC and he'll lokk after ya.

Thanks MadKaw, the springs on the friction plates are good but there are springs in the clutch hub that remove and lash from the drive train. theses are the ones that seem to be making the noise. Has any one got info on a aftert market clutch assembly ?
