whats a good price ??

Post by Saki »

Hey guys,

Went to local bike shop other day cause thinking about getting an 08 ZX10R. They have Orange, Black and Green in stock, but i'd definately go for a green one!

Anyway, manager called me up today trying to get a sale and i told him i would think about it, he came to me with $14,500 drive away (so thats rego etc etc)
sounded like an alright deal, considering there isn't much that is 2nd hand atm, and most 2nd hand ones are close to that price, otherwise more when you include rego costs etc etc.

So i was wondering from you guys if you think its a good deal or if i should be pushing bit harder on price etc etc ?

cheers

Thats a pretty good price I reckon, but if he has offered that price, he could probably do better. They wont give you a price if there isn't any room to play. Tell him to throw in a fender eliminator and a rear seat cowl and he's got a deal, I would  :D Or at least a slipon coz the first thing you would want to do is piss of Captain Cavemans club.

(I cant remember the names or whois still there, damn it) but if thats that funky looking bleached blonde sales guy he will go further, the other guy thats older is harder but in the end they will go to the dealer principle for the ok, both bikes I bought from Maroochy Kwakka I screwed them down to their landed cost, just take a week or two and haggle ;)

Good time to be dealing with them, the funny bit is they use to have their monthly sales chart on the wall and you could see if things were slow and push harder

also tell them you want the kawasaki promo girls there on delivery for the photo 8)

thats a pretty good price considering 07 cbr 1000's were goin for 15k when the new 08 blade came out. i recon 15k for the bike, slip on and fender eliminator and rear seat cowl is a good price to pay

They have an orange Demo, but its the sme price as a 0km's model! Plus my 04 was Orange, then again my 636 was green! THey have a black which i haven't had before! HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Yeah i heard about the new ZX10 being a year or 2 off... Could buy now and upgrade then, but i just can't find a flaw in this model zx10, brakes are sweet, huge power, handles well love it!!
