broken the cherry PITS

Post by waynemorgan »

Well I finally managed to make it to the PITS this morning - what a great ride!

Thanks to Dave (GPXPunk), Joe, Rob for the escort and willingness to wait on such a slow rider - really appreciate it.

Great to meet some of you at the PITS - sorry if I missed you, I'm not very good at introducing myself in a crowd.

Few firsts for me today:
First group ride
First OPH
First Freeway ride (F3, M2, M7)
First twisties (sphincter control is much better now - that was terrifying)

All up a great morning - still buzzing :kuda: :kuda:
I don't like the term insane - I prefer mentally hilarious!

it was good to see you again dude. Sorry you didnt come oin the 2nd lap. Joe and I left after that one. And yes hope many more oph rides wayne. the best thing about that road is that you get to practice your counter steering. And i did notice you getting your lean angle lower as the morning went on.

If you need some practice for friday dude just txt me.

oh and congrats on the oph run.

Good onya Wayne ;) Was good to see another member up at the PITS . .

And may I give ya some advice and try n make it up there as much as you can. Its a great road to learn cornering, and being in a group means heaps of pointers and questions answered.

Keep it up! :D

And on the seventh day Richo ended his work which he had made. Decided resting was for soft cox, straddled the REX and headed up the old road.
And it was good

Ah - didn't even say g'day! Sorry about that.
After tipping my bike over I wasn't in a particularly good mood, so it might've been better not to talk to me!

Hope to see you up there again some time soon :)

Matey, forget the freeways next time, come up Northern Rd to the world famous Windsor, down Blactown Rd a little, through the mighty Rivo, Winsor Rd out towards Annangrove and go the Berowra Ferry way up to the PITS, believe me a little more interesting than Freeways.
By the time you get to the PITS you will be nicely warmed up for a run up the OPH(or not judging on the current temps).
Enjoy
