Need: Z750 Stunt 12bar, stuntframe, stuntcage

Hi.

I got a 2005 Z750 (Think its models 2004-2007 are the same models)
I have tried a couple of stunt-shops, not found any stunt equipment for my Z750. I want a cage/frame around the engine, so I can fall with not scratching.
But more importantly I want a 12bar tail.

I know this might be welded and fized mcGuyver style, but I cannot weld, and would prefer something standard that is testet and good...


Anyone know anywhere that might have this?

probably going to have to have a local fabricator build you something i would say...
suss out some designs of other cages - shape/bracing etc ... and materials
chrome molly has been popular but possibly too rigid (esp when bolted to engine mounts!)

i know http://www.racing905.com sell a cage/12 for the 04+ Z1000 so maybe look into them.

the Zeds are renowned for busting weak casings due to position so make sure they're well protected.

the zed stunters are more common in Europe so localised forums may bring further info.

also there is a Jap supplier for crash bars if you can translate (babelfish - http://au.babelfish.yahoo.com/)

12bars are quite basic to fab. follow the subframe and butt the rear wheel up to a wall to obtain length & angle of the scrape plate.
you may need to also reinforce your subframe.





i'd definately choose some renthal fatbars over the stockies as well... stronger and better angle

would also recommend you add some guards/padding to the tank edges as they're a point of contact.
new tanks are $2700 !!! I have a semi repaired one in the garage if you want it for a denter!

Thanks heaps for the info!! Specially the photos, cause now I know its possible. Most important first is 12bar..
I had a feeling its going to be hard getting a good cage, cause of places to mount it. Mounting on engine is not best solution.
I'm checking out racing905. I tried Haibikes or haistuntshop or what its called again, and freestyleingenuity.com; they had nothing for z750(emailed them)

I tried this forum, since I lived in Oz before, 3 years, had a zx6 2002. I now home in Norway.

I'm trying local kawasaki dealer for replace parts thats damaged. Good to start with.

I'm doing standup wheelies, changing gears, starting to try out one-handers and no-footers now. I want the 12 bar to be able put rear on the ground. Too scared of scratching, don't have spare $$to spend..

if it was cast i would say YES, however for the Zed it depends on how much it gets abused... i know when i was getting to the point and learning to touch down i whacked it hard on many occasions.. also a 12bar is less forgiving that tail plastic and can/will dig in and throw you when/if you get it wrong!

because the 12bar is rigid it will transfer the forces along the sub frame, hence the need to reinforce or brace it.
On one of my bikes 929rr i bolted a length of steel from the rearset mount to the pillion peg mount to distribute the force and maintain strength.

if you plan on scraping to 'park' you'll need a flat bar, however if you're just going to scrape.. some of the hoop bars are good as the edges won't catch and try to turn or twist the bike. both types will be easy enough to make yourself or from a workshop.

there is a guy on stuntlife.com that runs either a Z750/1000 so maybe call on him for some info as well...
