How much time should I give myself....??
I have put a deposit on a bike which is going to be in Oz in Sept/Oct. How much time should I give myself to sell my little GPX?
I was going to put it on the market tomorrow, July 1, but would like some sort of guidance on it. I NEED the money from this bike for the new one, I would hate to get to Sept and not be able to sell it.
Can anyone offer me any suggestions/info??? Or is it just luck of the draw?? put it on tomorrow sell it thursday or put it on tomorrow and sell it in 3 months?
Cheers
Lisa

put it up early to mid august... see if u can get a more specific date from the dealer...
of course this all depends how much u want for the GPX... if u only asking 3500 or something then u will probably sell it in a week or two... if u asking more towards 5k then it may take longer...

Was putting 4500 on it. It's in absolutely perfect nick and been looked after like a child. OK I think I might wait another month before putting it on sale I think.Six Addict wrote:put it up early to mid august... see if u can get a more specific date from the dealer...

Put it on now for a high price and hold your ground, or if you get it, run and don't look back.... When you start to get desperate drop the price........ Bikes will sell better in warmer months and people will be getting their tax $$$$$ back by then as well......... I guess there is no right or wrong time to sell.

I think this would be the best idea, put a higher price on it now, if it sells, you may not have a bike for 3 months but you get extra money to put an exhaust on your new bike! drop the price a little after after 1 month to what you would have sol it for. Cant wait to see the new bike Madnesssmithy5 wrote:Put it on now for a high price and hold your ground, or if you get it, run and don't look back.... Yep, editing is fine, if you do it online you can log in and change most parts of the advert.Madness wrote:So 5 grand ya think?? Alrighty, that sounds like a good idea. Mind you, I think it's worth 5 grand myself. It's in bloody good nick, garaged and a cover on it, not thrashed, maintained. I'd buy it. hahaha

Yes, I concur. Sell it at a high price at 1st and then drop it as it gets closer to the date. That's what I'd do.craig wrote:what's the bike..........yer buying??
You can't tease us and not tell us what bike you have ordered. Share your excitement with us!
I erred the other day. When I picked up my tail tidy I sat on a ZX10R just to see what it felt like. I'm trying to pretend I don't like it so I don't want one!
King Nicholas. Keeping it unreal.

Well it isn't up to you to like it. I do, and that's all that matters. Each to their own.

Geez, have I just stumbled across netrider instead of the kwaka forum???
