...No
I reckon its a stunt....

there is no way Schumacher would have the time to be the Stig

how would he do the driving and testing for F1
AND also do driver training for the guests on Top Gear and also do the car testing for the show??

anyone know how long it takes to shoot an hours TV?? LOTS (like 40-60 hours )

as I said...STUNT
GOTTA LUV the 12R!!

Have to say I doubt it's Schuy - he's way to busy to be The Stig. Plus I doubt the BBC could afford him "due to the unique way the BBC is funded".

I went to see Top Gear Australia being recorded at Bankstown - took 3.5 hours to record a 1 hour show - and thats only the studio portions shown on tv, not the segments where they are out testing etc.

just my $0.02 - less GST and inflation :D
I don't like the term insane - I prefer mentally hilarious!

have u seen the way that TG is shot?? the BBC puts fuckloads of money into this show... every segment is shot immaculately and there is a lot of editing/post production that goes into it. they could afford schumacher... the time would be the only issue as it seems there would have been a 3 year overlap where he was driving F1 and supposedly being the stig...

when do they shoot top gear? in the british winter or british summer?? F1 runs in the northern hemisphere summer...

i reckon it could be him... would explain why the stig is so good!!!... the stig is quicker than most of the F1 drivers that have appeared on the show... he's hardly likely to be a very good touring car driver (which ive heard rumoured before) if thats the case...

Quote me if I am wrong but Michael has retired from F1 racing, his brother Ralph still races, but Michael has retired, so it could be him, I know a certain F1 fanatic and top gear fanatic who will possible know this answer. Dearest

This guy was found out to be the Stig (Ben Collins) back in January. I was watching some old Top Gear and he is introduced in a segment as a British rally driver but also has driven lots of different cars so he has done work on Top Gear before.

Make what you will of it but Michael could be the new Stig but I doubt it, they wouldn't reveal him as Stig starting a new season

the black stig was perry mccarthy, an ex F1 driver apparently...he was killed off after revealing himself as the stig, if this bloke was the stig, and people have found out, i dont think the BBC would have kept him...

i would say that TG can be so outrageous at times that there is a chance it could have been schuey... he would have had a 3-4 year period where he was driving in F1 and being the stig, but i think it is logistically possible that happened...

discuss...

Schumaker does a bit of superbike riding in Germany and Spain. He would also be doing shit loads of corperate stuff for many of his sponsers that he would still have. I think ( my personal opinion) he would be far busier now than when he was racing. I have to agree that whoever the STIG is he is a very talented driver. I would like to see Schuey as the Stig, people would have a better opinion of him. During his career and due to his determination he was not liked very much by the fans.
Remember, half the people you know are below average.

Have just watched the episode (excellent!) - JC said at the end of the show "I don't think Micheal Schumaker is the Stig".

Given the way they guard the Stig ID I seriously doubt it's him.

(plus I still think he would chose better paying jobs over the job with the BBC - he earning capability would have to be beyond BBC budget no matter how much they invest in TG  )
