New guy (Melb)
Hi Guys,
Just registered and though I would say hi. My ride is a zx-6r F1, have had it for about 5 years now and been tinkering with it most of that time! Due to time pressures my rides are normally resticted to those relatively close to the eastern burbs of Melbourne but luckily that includes some nice swervery. Looking forward to having a good look through your site and hopefully even contributing something useful from time to time.
Matt

Re: New guy (Melb)
Thanks guys for the welcomes, great stuff!! As far as photos, I wouldn't have even half an idea how to put them up, but it looks pretty much like an old green & white zx-6r!!
The brakes were the first main area of improvement, I started off with a simple bleed and ended up doing a full rebuild on both calipers. The difference was amazing, the icing on the cake was some EBC HH C compond pads. The thing actually stops now!!
Along the way I experienced some unusal tire wear with the 60 profile front, I was going thorugh two fronts to one back tyre which caused some confused looks at the workshop. We changed to a 70 series front, and shortly thereafter I dropped the forks through approx 12mm to keep the rake the same. What a difference, something approaching conventional tyre wear and turn-in is much improved.
More recetly been through the whole battery / rectifier saga, all fixed, got a new rec/reg from Brighton Kawasaki and checked out the alternator resistance & output and all is going fine.
I will keep an eye on your "rides" section for any rides coming up in Melbourne.
