Stress Tesing 101

Post by Bogan »

Not sure if this is a repost, and to think someone posted this on the local forum and tried to sledge the big K :kuda:.

Tough. That's what we ride.

Ive long maintained that Kawasaki's cant be killed by mere normal idiots

That pipe is impressive though.....wonder what the long term aftermath was for this engine

No I'm guessing you'd need abnormally stupid idiots.

It looks like they had a good go at it though.

This story has been around for a while but I was never able to grab the original. Awesome.
See here, young man,
From Walgett to the sea,
From Conroy's Gap to Castlereagh,
There's none can ride like me.

A UK Magazine did something similar on an early 90s fairyblade. But they simply rode it for 40,000 miles without servicing it. No oil change, nothing. They then stripped the engine to see what damage had been done - it was very little.

Well that makes me feel slightly less guilty for not servicing the Hornet at dead on 6,000km...
