Head light PROBLEM!!!!
Ok this is the third globe this week and im getting pissed.
I have noticed the head light go bright then dull, then bright then dull.
Then it just blows.
The last one lasted a minute this morning, rode up the street and it goes out.
I was thinking either an earth or something to do with the wiring???? dont know......
Help please haha, morning are starting to get dangerous.
Oh and everything else works fine{blinkers, high beam, indicators}.

Re: Head light PROBLEM!!!!
A wire must be shorting out onto the frame somewhere.
You'll have to follow it all the way and check it wherever it comes into contact with the frame.
Pull it away from any contact point and look to see if it has worn through the insulation

i was thinking that, the wiring looks abit old anyways, i might just replace it tomorrow instead, will save alot of trouble in the long run i think.
Cheers seiko1

Happened to me year's ago, had an old RZ back in the day and when I screwed the clocks back in I crushed a wire, same effect!gpxpunk wrote:seiko1 wrote:A wire must be shorting out onto the frame somewhere.

Re: Head light PROBLEM!!!!
ok striped her down found a blown fuse so replaced that. couldnt see any earths so i tapped up most of the wiring anyways and replaced the globe, hopefully this one lasts.
edit: ok ripped the bike apart today, and couldnt find any earths, so i got the duct tape and went to work covering up and wire i could see anyways. checked the fues and found one blown 10amp so changed that aswell. Replaced the globe and so far so good. I'll see how it goes tomorrow morning heading to norwest bp and old road.
