BUT, there's people on here who LOVE everything about their Suzuki! :shock: So their experience outweighs your subjective intuition.
*EDIT When it comes to advice that is.....I'm not saying what you should think, you can still think Suzukis are BAD ;) *

Dont get anything older than a 999.

I watched a documentary about Ducati's factory. When the 999 started being produced they retooled the entire factory, it has a significantly lower amount of parts including getting rid of the massive wiring loom that earlier models had. Less parts means less points of failure. The 916 and 996 were awesome looking bikes and ride awesomely, sound great etc but if you have problems with them are very expensive to fix.
The world is round. It has no point.

Well my take on this is when i was 18 some 30 years ago i had a choice of a suzuki gs100e or a ducati 900ss brand new.They were both $3,400 i really wanted the duke but my mates and my mechanic at the time pushed me towards the suzuki so i bought it.I still regret that choice as the suzuki was blown up at 50,000 ks .And if anyone knows a good 900ss these days is worth 50,000 bucks.So if he wants it tell him to buy it :lol: Mind you to make up a little i bought my z900 when i was 21 for $1.300 and even though it doesnt get ridden much every time i do it reminds me how much i love my old beast. ;)

You know if he has money, for an extra $100 or so the high class hooker may even get that bug out. :lol: :lol: :kuda:

If he really has money I don't mind helping him spend it on high class hookers.
Remember, half the people you know are below average.

IMO I have not had a prob with late 90's 900/though SS's , love the monsters and would not hesitate to buy one if I were say living in Brisbane for instance.
!098S's are a bit harsh for my liking as a daily rider but as mentioned horses for courses.

Likes ;
>Zorst note
>Handling ++
>Brakes ++
>>The 06-09 Monsters are prob the most fun bikes I have ever ridden!!

Dislike ;
>That awful dry clutch rattle (worse with the aftermarket open cut covers)
>Earlier SS's lack the mojo in the power department.
>Oil leaks (not Ducati specific obviously)
>Price of basic parts ie M/C's calipers / rotors etc .

>>The new Ducatti (first big bike / Ducati) / cafe racer / half caf' decaf fagolate drinker , complete with the matching ducati leathers/boots/gloves with all the factory race team logo's and a Stoner replica lid ..etc,etc....... Attitude...

Another love ; To point out the 2" chicken strips on the above mentioned owner's bike :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:
