Thank you and goodnight.....

Post by Black Magic »

Hey all.

It's a shame that we don't have a goodbye thread as well as a welcome one.

For various reasons I am going to be bowing out of the forum. probably the biggest clincher was my ortho appt yesterday. I have had a foot giving me trouble for a very long time. My GP reffered me thinking I just needed some surgery to correct the bones. It seems that yeserterday xrays showed a strange eroded lesion on the bone in my right foot. More tests to follow. Guess i don't need my brake foot anyway huh?

Anyway, may catch you all in the future. Thanks for the sharing the friendship, tears and laughter.

Rubber side down.

Wendy

:( just cause you've got a problem with your foot it doesn't mean you have to go, I've seen a one handed may be you can be the first one footed rider
( not joking ) keep us up to date that problem anyhow :?

WTF? don't go BM!!! Some people find consolation at the bottom of a bottle, how about finding some in the bottom of a rediculous smart arse and irrational thread (or group of threads)?

Best wishes with whatever it is that turns out to be wrong with you, if you need any help with anything were all just a mouseclick (or call, depending who your thinking of) away!

Cutting bodily parts off hasn't been offered as an option as yet (and it isn't one that I would accept.)

I don't even know yet what is going on. Given my family history though it is going to take a lot of concentration and positive thoughts to get through the next little while. No decisions can be made until a correct diagnosis is given to me.

Thank you for the kind words. My concillation has always been to get on the bike- some times that was all that kept me going. So- I have a lot of riding to do before now and whnever/ whatever turns out to happen. But my main focus as always is going to be to laugh and enjoy every day.

theres a guy in canberra who rides a harley, they call him one legged al, and lets just say, there is absolutely no creativity used in that nickname.

doesnt mean you have to get a harley though

best wishes though BM, hope it all works out

Sorry to hear about your health Wendy and wishing you all the best with getting it sorted.

You'll certainly be missed - I'm slowly reading thru older posts and you've made a positive contribution here imho.

Take care,
Wayne

Sorry to hear the news BM! I know alot of people on here appreciate your thoughts and comments and if you decide not to log in will be sadly missed!

But to be honest if your seriously never riding the road again, a dedicated trackie would be the answer to get the blood boiling!!! Rear brake is not necessary and I believe I meet the aforementioned one legged al at Oran Park one time!

Take Care of yourself and I hope you decide to change your mind on departing KSRC! (I reckon based on post count "off topic" and "jokes" are most popular anyway ;) )

Ok, I have to say...

"I don't get it"

You trade a Kawa for a Spewie and stick around, but leave if you stop riding due to health?

BM, you are a part of this forum. It is irrelavent what bike you ride, or if you ride at all. We are your friends, and we are here for you when you need us.

I say fix a race spec thumb brake on the bars and keep riding. But even if that is not an option, why shun a like minded group of people who by the above responses obviously care about you?

Stick around eh.

BM have they confirmed they are going to take a limb ???
Seems a bit premature you would depart thinking in this frame of mind, I too have not been
a forum member for long , but one thing I know is you will need people around you you can talk to
friends who will take your sorrow and help you through.
Don't sign out and leave your friends nor turn your back on something you love.
If I was in your postion ( which I know is easy to say) I would never leave or walk away from people like this who I know would support you.
Hmmmmm I seem to recall someone saying through another thread that this experience has made me stronger and that person was you , ( re the looser who you mentioned who stuffed you over)
So please stick around and let us as friends help you through this difficult time.
Your sorta kinda friend Devo 8)

Hey BM, hanging up the helmet for whatever reason isn't cause to leave - just look at me (although the helmet's only half hung up)
Take whatever time you need to sort things out, but you don't need to go.
Good luck either way.
