Noticed that story about Troy bayliss (Legend) testing with team vodaphone the other day...this got me childishly thinkin of who would pull off quicker lap times
Neva actually thought bout it till now......pretty sure that the bikes would tear the tin tops up in the corners though
Peace......Means havin a bigger stick then the other guy.
other way round mate... cars can outbrake and outcorner bikes standing on their ears, specially a V8 supercar... the superbike would have to rely on acceleration to have any hope of turning a faster lap...
a very quick googling found the differance between lap records from superbike to v8 supers to be within a bee's dick!!
For Eastern Creek i found high lap times for v8's were 1:30:6...... and SBK 1:30:2.....
Phillip Island found the v8's highest times about 1:32:5.... and SBK 1:31:8....
Who wants to have a crack at brock over the corner speeds??

I think most people here know cars are quicker around tracks but won't admit to it... by which I mean a sorta equivalent car vs bike...
But cars are boring to drive around on the track, it doesn't even have the same thrill as riding a bike. At least you can't fall off your car not unless you tried real hard.

Plus u look 10 times more awsome on a bike or so iv heard

The did a test a while back in AMCN I think, a CBR600 vs some kind of hi specced Porche GT something-or-other at Wakefield Park...the bike won easy and cost less than the optional ceramic disks on the Porche
Extra rubber helps, but bikes can use more of the bitumen and get on the power earlier
