Dynobike (Vic) are thieving C*#TS

Post by Kwak addict »

In case anybody on here is thinking of taking their bike to Dynobike in Moorabbin to have work done - DON'T.
Being in the trade for years I've heard lots of ripoff/shit work/arrogant arsehole stories about Dynobike but never having had anything to do with them personally, I kept them to myself.
A good mate of mine took his ZX6 trackbike there last week because he hadn't ridden the bike in a year & the carbs were all gummed up & the bike was running like shit.
So Dynothief says "No worries mate, we'll sort it out for you"
Dave goes to pick the bike up later that day & the bloke hits him with a fucking $900 bill... that's not the punchline, he says "The carbs were blocked up real bad & I hadta strip 'em right down, blah, blah, bullshit, bullshit, & I put it on the dyno & it's running rich" He gives Dave the dyno sheet & there's not even an A/F trace on it, he reckons the main jets are 22s & hands Dave a set of what he calls 15s & tells him to put them in & it'll fix it.
A- When Dave bought the bike, it had been freshly setup by Dynoripoff a month before & had receipts & dyno sheets to prove it, Dave hasn't touched the jetting since he's owned it & it's been running fine, so how the fuck can it be running THAT rich all of a sudden? I smell bullshit.
B- I have a lot of experience with Kawasakis, especially the carburettors & there is NO FUCKING WAY the bike would run even half right with 220 (not 22s as the ripoff/bullshit artist calls them) mainjets in it & if it's that far off in the jetting then it's their fault because they fucking jetted it in the first place.
So he hands Dave a set of 15s (presumably 150s) & says put these in & you'll be right... HOW THE FUCK CAN SOMEBODY ASK A CUSTOMER TO DO THEIR OWN JET CHANGES WHEN THE WHOLE REASON THEY BOUGHT THE BIKE TO THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE WAS BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT CARBS SECONDLY, NOBODY IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD TELL SOMEBODY (ESPECIALLY SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING) TO DROP THAT FAR IN JET SIZES WITHOUT AN A/F READING TO GO OFF - THERE'S A BETTER THAN GOOD CHANCE THAT IF DAVE PUTS THOSE JETS IN, HE'LL END UP WITH 4 BOTTOMLESS ASHTRAYS.
There is NO POSSIBLE WAY that anyone can predict even roughly what the A/F ratio will end up being with such a radical jet change - it's the stupidest & most reckless thing I've ever heard. So lets say Dave puts the 150 jets in & leans the fuck out of it & melts the pistons, what do you think DynoSHITSTAIN will say... my bet is something like "I never told you to do that mate"
If you're going to charge somebody $900 for doing a few hours work then surely you could have the decency/concience to finish the fucking job you fucking Kiwi SCUMBAG.
I URGE EVERYONE ON THIS FORUM TO TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW WHAT A PACK OF RIPOFF/BULLSHIT ARTISTS DYNOBIKE ARE, we need to weed scum like this out of the motorcycle trade.

Well many years ago i took my old z900 there after having the top end rebuilt i purchased a set of smoothbore carbs. He fitted and dynoed and jetted the carbs replaced the plugs and changed oil anfd filter $500.I thought that was quite reasonable so when the zx9 needed a service i took it back to them.Big mistake $1100 to fit a jet ket and tune it,his loan bike he gave me broke down and he had the pillion seat of my bike and somehow managed to jam it in crooked which took me an hour to get it to release. So yes they are full of shit.Since then i found Kon at high octane motorcycles and only have good things to say about them

I don't know this since my bike never goes to the shop, but wouldn't you agree on costs (at least estimate) first before doing the actual work ? btw. if it does go to the shop for service, it would be Brighton Kwaka :)

$900 damn that's steep. A third of my bike worth actually

That's part of the scam Java, when my mate asked him for a rough estimate, Dynoscum uhmmed & ahhed & said "I can't quote you until I strip the carbs but don't worry, it's a straightforward job, it won't be expensive"

Hey guys not defending Dynobike here, but it's probably not the sort of stuff we need on here in terms of so blanantly calling them c@#ts, I think that your treading on dangerous grounds here, with the site possibly liable for law suits for defemation...

What have Dynobike said in responce, when your mate asked them why it cost so much for a supposedly simply job ?

Again I'm in no way defending them one way or the other as I don't know all the facts, I think that maybe calling them an un-name tuning shop would have been more appropriate, maybe.
