I think the performance between the 4 bikes is that similar, that unless you use four very evenly matched superbike racers the results will show more of the riders ability than the bikes standings.
Four riders, four session, one on each bike, aggregate times would give better results - which bike each rider went faster on.

Very true. The times given are actually only for one of the riders, Bruce Dunn, he is a 250 racer and a professional tester. He was given new tires on each bike and told to ride as fast as he could on each bike. The only reason the r1 actually came first was because the zx10 thought he had time to stop and grab a bite and beat everyone. but his calculations were a little off.
