I just took a look at a zx9r with an Akrapovic exhaust and man that sounded damn good!!! Also it had flames coming out the pipe. how is this done, nice visual effect. So this might sound silly but do bikes have catalytic converters? will flames come out if you remove it?

let me be the first to jump up to the plate and tell you - its a waste of time and money. It won't make it any faster, you would be better off spending the money on rider training and getting good gear.

Keep the pipe money for when you upgrade to a larger bike that will actually benefit from having a good pipe fitted....

I objected to paying big money for a Yoshi pipe that wasn't even loud enough and then I met a guy from the Katana club (it's a Suzuki thing) who owns
a car muffler shop and has been fitting these Habib resonator thingies onto bikes. No baffles, straight through and he made up a custom unrestricted link pipe from stainless to go with it. The sound is to die for and sees me answering lots of questions from riders about where I got it from. And it only cost me $320 ride in ride out.

I'd have to say my Yoshi, but to be honest the Two Brothers I had on my ER6 was the hottest sounding pipe I have ever heard.

'Life is short- break the rules.
Forgive quickly,
Kiss slowly,
Love truely,
Laugh uncontrollably,
And NEVER regret anything that made you smile.'
