greatings :O

Post by mojo the monkey »

hello to all :)

thought i would join up after trolling about for a while you all seem somewhat sane hahaha

well abit about me i guess

im jeff im 22 i started riding when i was 16 and 9 months first bike was a zzr250 i rode that bike for about 10 months then moved to Europe never ended up getting my P's for some unknown reason lol but i did get to ride over in Europe a lot . ive been back in aus now for about 9 months currently live in the hills district looking to start riding again once i find a nice bike and go get my bike license again.

sadly im looking at getting a Gs500f as im a bigger kinda guy and the zzr250 was a bit to small for my size

i have 1 question the helmet ive got is about 4 years old its only seen about 9 months of head time tho but is it a good thing to just replace it to be safe? and if yes are KBC VR-2R Wizard good from anyone's experience?

and yer that's about it from me hah hope to see you guys out and about some time soon

thanks in advance
jeff

Hi Jeff welcome to KSRC.... officially
Mate with the helmet if it has been dropped or is starting to get loose on your bonce then get a new one...... the normal change time would be every 5 years approx, but if its a daily use year round then sooner would be better ;)

Personally i wouldn't replace your helmet.. the main thing that makes them deteriorate is your sweat... if you're not using it, it's not deteriorating..

Hey Jeff and welcome.

As the clubs sole GS500 owner (as far as I know) if you've got any questions feel free to pm me, I live and work local to you too.

I'd better tow the party line too tho, I hear there's a good Kawasaki equivalent no? ER6 or something? :P
