Dodgy Avatars (NWS)
Dodgy Avatars (NWS)
OK you lot, I'm making a simple request, can all you people with the "slightly risqué" avatars change them to something a bit more generally acceptable please. I'm looking at you Ardie, Billiam and Cath.
I've had to turn off viewing avatars because I'm sick of seeing them pop up in all the threads and don't particularly want to have to explain them to my 8-year-old daughter, but I rely on avatars to identify quickly who's posted.

I've spent over 40 years of my life riding bikes .... the rest of it, I wasted ..

Re: Dodgy Avatars
They do make it a little awkward to view at work, but I would miss Ardy's and Bill avatars

Just out of curiosity, would this be more or less appropriate?

I reckon each to their own, if ya don't like it, don;t look at it!

Ya but there should be something in place so they don't go overboard. I personally have no issue, however I can see where Mick is coming from.

Depends on whether you are 13 years old (or Ron) and get your jolly's off seeing that sort of thing as someone's avatar. If I want to see that stuff I'll go look for it, I'd just prefer not to see it here thanks, especially when I'm looking at the forum from home.aardvark wrote:Just out of curiosity, would this be more or less appropriate?
I agree totally and don't have a problem with people posting up whatever they like, as long as it's in a thread with a warning on it so I can look at when I want to. When it's in every thread as people's avatars then I don't have the choice and either have to switch avatars off or not look at the forum anymore.Strika wrote:I reckon each to their own, if ya don't like it, don;t look at it!

Quiet day I guess.
Rather then tell others what to do and impose your opinions on others just turn off the avatars as you suggest. That way no one gets offended.
Just my thoughts.

Hey, if that's the way everyone want this forum to go then fine, but I'll just point that I was asking not telling, as I have no possible way of imposing my opinion on anyone here. Like yourself I was just offering my opinion and I gave my reasons for doing so.
