Gpz 750a
my gpz 750 just got back on the road,but she really bogs down at lows revs,can hardly get up my driveway.then on the road it bogs down then seems to release and accelerate well,did have some mild backfire but adjusted idle and seemed to fix.maybe vacuum leak?how do i check this also any one know how far to adjust mixture screws out.thanx barrie.

Reasonably eay way to fix is once the engine has warmed up, spray wd40 or something else similar/flammible around the carb boots to see if there is any rise in revs. If there is, try to isolate to the one boot, and then specifically where. i.e. the boot itself over the carb (which could be fixed by either pinching the screw tighter, dabbing silicone, or replacing it entirely), or the o-ring sealing it to the head.
Oh and 2.5 turns out is a good starting point for the idle screws. I would also ask how the float height is going as well as how long it has been since the carbs have been synched as either of those could be throwing it out as well, especially just off idle.
