If every one did it the death rate for dogs and riders would be huge. However I feel like every law there should be exemptions available. These exemptions should not be given out easily. This would make people like Tex able to conitue their good work but keep the f@#%witts from trying to do it.
Like every one I should be allowed to view my opinion with out being condemed.
As for young children The number of times I see kids even over the age of eight being taken for a ride wearing a poor fitting helmet with "protective" T shirt and shorts makes me sick. Especially when the rider is usually in full gear. Just my thought but the pillion should have at least the same protective gear as the rider. If you care about the person on the back of the bike then at least show it.
They're not trying to change the law. They are just trying to get an exemption for their situation. As you said, there should be availability for exemptions, unfortunately as it stands now there is not. That is all they are asking for with this petition.

I know loads of people who drove home drunk lots of time and got home perfectly safe so it must be fine too..... Just because some people can do it well, it doesnt mean it should be made available to the general public.
Poor analogy (sp?) People driving home drunk will always know , the next morning ,they have done something they should not have done . 2nd point , they are not in control of their situation . 3rd point , why didnt you stop them ?
MY choice , when not drunk , to take MY kids for a ride .
There are times when people can think for themselves and not be lemmings . Refer to some who have dared to go against council laws and cut trees down around their houses !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ummmm let me see
