Road safety campaigns... and the real world

Post by DaveGPz »

From the ABC website:

"Woman jailed for second fatal crash

A woman has been jailed for a month for her second fatal road crash in South Australia in seven years. M..., 37, pleaded guilty to driving without due care after crashing into a motorcyclist at Pompoota, near Mannum, in June 2007. She was sentenced to eight months in jail in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court, but seven months of the sentence has been suspended. Eight years ago [she] was fined $300 for a crash which killed another man driving through Pompoota in April 2000."

Makes you feel safe, doesn't it? Would someone consider, maybe, that she shouldn't be driving? Extenuating circumstances, no doubt!

1 month. Nice to know what my life is worth.
See here, young man,
From Walgett to the sea,
From Conroy's Gap to Castlereagh,
There's none can ride like me.

I have said it before untill the courts have appropriate sentencing things will never change
See gets 1 month for killing someone and someone gets done for speeding and get 6 months, I mean it wasn't even the first time she killed someone on the road FFS.

Next time I think I'm about to get pulled over for speeding, I'll make sure I crash into someone and kill them so that I don't get in as much trouble.

Fucking bullshit, you oughtta see my traffic history and the bullshit things I have fines for... and this clearly retarded woman is killing people on a regular basis and gets what is effectively a slap on the wrist.

If she was guilty to driving without due care WITH a license, she will be equally as likely to do the same without...
