Newbie From NZ...

Post by NZthou »

G'day guys from (not so) sunny New Zealand!

New fella just purchased an '03 Z1000 and looking to learn somehting about them...

I have been riding for 20 odd years and I've had a couple of ZXR's, a few Gixxer's, a TL, an FZR, a CBR or two, a Buell, a V-Max and a few others in my time. This is the first time I've had a naked Kawasaki though and I love it.

I will take my time rummaging around and maybe even post once in a while.

Nice to be here.

All the best

Paul.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

South Island 6maniac.

Went to the NZ Superbikes at Levels Raceway Timaru just yesterday..

Local favourite Stroudy (Gixxer) came in behind Aussie Gareth Jones (Yam) in both races. Good racing up front though with Chris Budgeon pushing hard as well.

Only one Kawasaki in the field, ZX10 finished in the middle, ridden by Sloan Chopper Frost from Hamilton.

Giday Kiwi, welcome aboard the star ship enterprise  . I am a big fan of Robert Holden, Graham Crosby, Denis Ireland, Stu Avant, John Woodley and had the magnificient pleasure of watching them up close racing on many occasions 8) . The Z1000 is a derivative of the ZX9R, and is a very enjoyable ride 8) .
