Re: Installing spools/rear stand
the spools usually go on the swingarm near the rear end of it......mine are underneath has lugs welded on with a threadded hole......standing it up i usually have the bike on the side stand and put the left side on the spool......then push down on the race stand and make sure the other side goes in ....then push all the way down and that should be it
just make sure the brackets are adjusted so they meet with the spools

Re: Installing spools/rear stand
i dont exactly know but on my bike it was just a matter of bolting them onto the lugs on the bottom of the swingarm.....the spools came with allen key bolts that go through the centre of the spools

Re: Installing spools/rear stand
To stand the bike up, get someone on hand to be there while you walk around the back of the bike... holding it vertical & operate the stand..... it will take a bit of practice
Re: Installing spools/rear stand

Re: Installing spools/rear stand
The flat black sections go under the swing arm.... no spools required if you use the flat ones
But The hooks / spools work better
Re: Installing spools/rear stand
Thanks guys I'll give it another go tomorrow

Re: Installing spools/rear stand
Yeah there's a few ways to do it solo:
1) Rest the kickstand on some solid object, thick enough that the bike is almost upright when rested. Stick the stand's hooks under the spools and lift.
Vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4sR3lv66KmE
2) Stand behind the bike. Match both of the hooks to the spools so that the left wheel of the stand is grounded. Keeping both hooks matched up, push down on your stand with your right hand while holding the bike with your left. Once the right wheel of the stand hits the ground, you can let go of the bike and push the stand down the rest of the way. (Simpler than it sounds - this is how I do it.)
3) Similar to (2), but start with both wheels on the ground and only the left hook mated to its spool. Push down the stand so that the right spool lands in the right hook. Now push it the rest of the way.
4) Use a chock to hold the front wheel while you lift the rear.
5) Buy a Pit Bull, Abba or other stand designed for solo use.

Re: Installing spools/rear stand
So I need to unscrew the screws at the back (that hold the back wheel on) and screw in the spools in their place?

I also lock the front brake with a cable tie.
