I have to say i am impressed with there service.
Basically put the bike back together after new paint job and went for a ride last night.. All good happy days. Today got half way dwn the road and bike started to run liek a carby bike ready to switch tap to reservce, basically lots power, lots revs and stalled motor. was thinking WTF.... Then smokey steam was going EVERYWHERE!
So pulled over cut all power and was sitting there baffled. I thought time to get a tow. So i rang a bloke in Hobart called the "Bike Ambo" He said he would come pick me up asap.
So sat on the sideroad waiting for him. Waited 25 minutes as he had to travel quite a distance to get to me. As he arrived, it clicked what the problem could very well be.
When i turned the key on to start bike, fuel pump makes its funky noise, but fuel was gushing out. Same when i hit the starter button. So obviously fuel pump issue. Had a good look underneath and realised that when i put the fuel line back on it was on pretty weak and it was pissing fuel out everywhere.
With Bike Ambo man he helped me ift up the tank, stitch up the problem and didnt charge me 1 CENT. OMG what a hero.
I didnt have any cash which i would have paid him for his trouble. but he is a towing service not a mechanic. I did solve the problem but hte fact that he went out of his way to drive 25 minutes to simply hold up the tank and then be happy as we had a chat for a good 15 minutes afterward i think definately deserves a mention.
So heres to the Bike Ambo and anyone in Hobart if you need your bike towed make sure you ring this bloke. He has been going for a while and is very experience and professional with a good setup! He also likes to know where his name is heard from, so if you deal with him mention Nick with the White z1000 sent you!
here are his details:
Landline: 03 6229 2742
Mobile: 0437 862 966
He also does pick ups for, breakdowns, accident, deliveries, relocations and purchases. This is not only in Tassie but interstate. Make sure you give this bloke a go cause i guarentee you will be impressed with his professionalism and service!
Cheers guys
