Mirrors

Post by Peter »

Can anyone suggest some bar end mirrors that will fit on a 2005 Z1000 ?? They would have to replace the bar ends already on the bike, or clamp around them, as the solid piece inside the bar that the bar end screws to won't come out. Has anyone with a 2003 to 2006 model got any on their bike ????

several US members on the zrxoa, www.zrxoa.com make bar end mirrors that would fit if they are just a std bar. I got mine when the US $ was alot better than it was now and they cost us about $140 each (we got 3). They are great but I havent seen any out here that look similar.

I think you can get black :D (what ive got), chrome :D and titanuim :kuda:

Thanks, but after all that I got impatient and bought a smaller set of chrome replacement mirrors. They are a bit cheap but look better than the originals.

I just thought I'd let you all know,I ended up taking the chrome mirrors back and bought a set of bar end mirrors from E-BAY. They came from Hong Kong and look identical to the ones that are being sold from the States, also from E-Bay. Anyway, the quality is pretty good but I didn't trust the the way the glass was held in so I pulled them apart and ran a bit of silicone on the back of the mirrors then locktited all the screws, wacked em on and they look a million bucks and they don't vibrate and you can see out of them clearly. 2 for $45 landed, Bargain.

Jeff has Napoleon bar-end mirrors on his '03 Z1000, but he is not sure if they are made any more.

Z-Power has them listed in stock, but I don't think they update their website regularly. http://www.zpower.com.au/catalog/produc ... ts_id/1362

Hoon! :D

I've got mirrors, but they are small. Actually they are too small, and you have to replace your bars first to fit them.

The ones Phil has on the ZRX are much better.

No replacing bars with the ones I bought, I just put a couple of washers behind the bar ends to make them sit out from the bar a bit further then fitted the mirrors between the bar ends and the grips. I did have to trim a little bit off the grip but thats it.

It's in stealth mode so no-one knows what it is. 8) Yeah it's been resprayed. It had a very small dent in it and he said he could save the badge on both sides but when I went to pick it up he had resprayed the whole thing and I lost both badges in the process. I have since bought the badges ($55 each  )to replace them but he is going to respray it all again to match the colour better so they can wait until it is done. I stupidly bought original badges which are silver but I should have bought some black ones since I have resprayed the side covers black. :?
