Re: '09 Z1000 Test Ride
Personally, I'd rather the Yammy. But ride each one, and see what you feel more comfortable on. That's the reason for the R1
That, and the new 10 looks like a dogs breakfast!

Re: '09 Z1000 Test Ride
Dangerous Dave has an FZ1 and I wasn't that impressed with it to start with. But, once he replaced the motor with his R1 engine and fitted a Hydroformed Serpent Micron full race System with a PCIII, then added R1 forks with Ohlins Springs and A revalve, then fitted a new TTX (not sure if this is correct code, but those who know will know!!) Ohlins rear shock and had it resprung and revalved to suit, plus some nice goodies like a tail tidy, rear seats, Rizoma grips, levers and mirrors as well as the Lightweight Marchesini Wheels and some braided lines! Now it goes and looks kinda OK!

Bloody hell Strika! Did he spend more on mods than the original bike?!

Re: '09 Z1000 Test Ride
So, I got a phone call from Revhedz on Tuesday. My new Z1000 got as far as the Port of Brisbane & was offloaded with three other bikes all ordered by Revhedz. Two of them were attacked by an errant forklift....mine one of them! So, I am back to waiting for the new bike to arrive in Brisbane, hopefully sometime this week. I still can't ride because of my ankle injury, so I suppose it would be rubbing salt into the wound seeing Jeff have the first ride on it, and then having it sitting in the garage. But, I want my new bike!
Cheers,
Anne

Re: '09 Z1000 Test Ride
I am so proud of my new arrival, a sleek, sexy boy, named Z'ev (Hebrew for wolf). I pick him up tomorrow! *wiggle*

Hopefully he will be missing the non-aerodynamic foam over the tail
Even better, I have been given permission by my physio to ride him home, providing I wear my full riding boots for support. Which means, I will get first ride on my new bike! (Jeff has been thwarted!)

And on the seventh day Richo ended his work which he had made. Decided resting was for soft cox, straddled the REX and headed up the old road.
And it was good
