Well a bloke from Kambalda can't be all that bad! But settle with the talk will ya.....Hoffy did some gardening on Sunday and I threw mine at a rock wall three weeks ago, so dunno if what we have to day should be listened to much!!!!

There are really only two questions in life. 1.Which way do i go? 2.What is the lap record?

Nah, Hoffy just did some gardening, so he and the 12 are mint! Unlike myself, who did some open cut mining, and ground half the Rex away on a rock wall!!!!!!!IsleofNinja wrote:Bugger!!!!

Re: Pilot Road 2's (2CT's) Opinions, Experiences?
Thread CPR!!! CLEAR!!
Ok, just for completeness, I thought I'd check in and close the loop on my own tyre question.
The rear was finally down to the wear markers so a couple of weeks back I replaced the rear with another PR2. The odo was at 49,000 km - so that makes a total of a wopping 21,000km from the rear PR2. My last tyre post was in May with about ~41800km on the clock and 3mm tread depth left... meaning the last 3mm dissappeared in 7000km. The tyre was very hard and old "looking" though... but I can't complain.
I have to say, that at no time did the PP front and PR2 back work brilliantly together. They're not a matched pair. If you have to have a PP on the bike, make it the front though. I've heard of guys dropping the front end with this tyre combo to speed up the steering... I never got around to doing that.
Anyway, today I replaced the front. The bike has 51050km (astute readers just worked out that's 2000km in two weeks
) so meaning I got about 20,000km from the front tyre. It still had some life left but I possibly have a road trip to SA coming up and I was buggered if I was going to do it with a new rear and old front. Anyone who wants it can probably get it near free from City West Yamaha out Hoppers Crossing.
First indications of a PR2 front and rear are that the bike steers well and holds a line without needing any muscle... and the other thing is that it's amazing how plush the ride feels with fresh rubber. Fark me! I never realised how old and tough my rubber was... it just goes to show, it's worth replacing tyres even if they're not worn.
Ok, so all you road warriors are sniggering at my wear rates - fair 'nuff. FWIW, except for the last few months, a lot of my twisty riding was with 250's and doing mentor rides - so that's pretty gentle riding. Then again, I prefer not to trail into corners and don't accelerate hard out of them so I usually get good wear rates... however 20k is a new bench mark for me. LOL
Anyway, happy NYE folks. Stay safe.

I'm on my second set of PR2's on my big girl. Got 14,500km out of the first set, which I was pretty happy with for such a heavy bike and a happy right wrist.
In God, we trust; all others must supply data.

I'm still running the PR2 that went on back in March during the WSB trip !! thanks to Marty for the tip. Its a great tyre, probably seen about 15k out of the rear by now, which is about double anything else thats been on the back of the MFP12...

Actually I have the front on now, and it feels great on the road, and performed really well at the track too..
Pleanty of grip and a good stable feel, but they do turn in a bit slower than the powers which is dramatic as soon as you change, but not really noticeable when you settle into the tyre..I have asked alot of it and it feels good, so looks like I will be using these from now on..I expect it to last 15,000k's
