Re: Insurance
As posted elsewhere......as much as you hate paying the money, when the shit hits the fan ( or the rubber hits the oil ), even a low speed drop is going to cost you a lot !!! And that doesn't include hitting someone else's property if you are at fault !!

I've spent over 40 years of my life riding bikes .... the rest of it, I wasted ..
If it's got wheels or tits, it's gonna give you trouble !

Re: Insurance
Yup i got my license now =)hey shez, got your license already?
i think our conditions are very similar, as i am under 25 and with no experience as well but QBE quoted me $1330 with $4000 gears and accesaries covered (i think it comes with standard cover)
i also obtained a quote online from 'insure my ride' which costs me $1100 with $1000 worth of gear coverd, so i am happy with QBE.
Isnt Five dock safer than West ryde where i am live in?
How did you get such a cheap quote?? is this for full comprehensive insurance??? something is wrong here...
Well Abbotsford is "safer" then Five Dock and Five Dock is "safer" then Ryde
I think it's all BS how they charge according to where you live. Sure the cheaper rent/buying suburbs have the crims but how do you think these people in the "Richer" subrubs got there?? THere's no such thing as hard work and dedication these days, it's all about who you know and what your willing to do.
next year i'm only considering 3rd party property, no way am i going to pay 4grand to insure my bike every fing year

Re: Insurance
I found QBE to be good, i am young and dont have a great record but QBE still only want $700 a year for full comp on the Z with $1000 excess which isnt so bad i guess for a high risk vehicle and only $400 for third party with same excess!
So obviously your bike will make a difference (but you all knew that!) All the ninjas from the 6 to the 10 are AT LEAST $3000 a year!
The women at QBE said it had to do with the Seating Postion, so if you get a 10 and put highrise bars should half your insurance!

Re: Insurance
I've been insured with Swann, QBE, Shannons & now Insure My ride.
Insure my ride is the only one I've ever needed to claim through & it was a piece of piss.
I ring NRMA every time my insurance is due for renewal just for a laugh.......... what a bunch of money grabbing, i hate bikes, bunch of CUNTS!!!!!!!
