636 reliablity?

Post by quackk »

G'day

Thinking of getting a 636... but frankly i dont know squat about kwakas.. only rumours that i hear by the grape vine.. hoping to get some actual facts based on peoples experiences...

So.... how reliable are the 636's?? are there year models i should avoid due to whatever manufacturing problem??

Cheers all and thanks in advance.

I thrashed my 05 mercilessly for 17000 klms and it never let me down. It never used oil, warped a disc, blew a fork seal, or anything apart from wearing out tyres and pads and it went like fuck! :kuda:

I had an 03 636. Miss him so much  I rode the 03 half way around Australia and apart from the fuel light developing a bit of a glitch sometimes he never skipped a beat.

I'll add to the general consensus here that they're terrific bikes. Had my 06 636 since new and it has run like a dream (touch wood!) :)
