HID Xenon Conversion Kits
So i'm looking at converting my lights to HID xenon. i know a fair bit about the lights and how they work in general but i'm jsut confused as to what size i need so i can order thrm from overseas as for some reason the people in sydney either havnt heard of them or can't get them. Maybe ive been speaking to the wrong people since i've called a good half a dozen places.

I'm pretty sure i'm after the "H4" size wise, and i know i need the dual bulb, so i'm assuming i need the "H4 HIGH/LOW BEAM"??? i'm going to get the 6000 kelvin so if somebody/anybody could confirm this for me it would be muchly appeciated!! =)
Thanks in advance!!

Try www.emsusa.com.au for a local distributor - probably more exy than o'seas, though.

Re: HID Xenon Conversion Kits
I need the dual (low+high beam), not sure whether i need the H3 or H4, going to call flywheels on Monday to confirm.
Saying that, i'm almost certain i need the GTEC dual beam HID conversion kit - $185 dual beam kit H4, i'm getting the 6000 kelvin (relating to the previous link posted by 6maniac)

Re: HID Xenon Conversion Kits
i already did, last friday =D and already i have had a fall haha, LUCKILY my bike is perfectly fine although i came off second best with my entire left side covered in bruises. Been riding around the carport since i havnt got my l's yet, can't wait to get past 1st gear though =p not having much problem except for the choke which seems to be abit of a bastard. probably due to the fact that i don't know exactly what it's for or how to use ir or even when to use it. ah well, downside of being female i suppose.

Re: HID Xenon Conversion Kits
Hi there Shez, I'm pretty sure your 250 has the same headlight set up as the 03-06 Z750/Z1000 like mine, that is one side is highbeam and the other side low.(if you're not sure what i mean, start your bike, look at the headlight, only one should be on, switch to highbeam and they should both be on) if this is the case, you have H3 bulbs, and would require the Gtec HID conversion in H3 application.
However if you have both headlights on at low and high beam, you will have H4 which as you said are dual beam which of course would require the Gtec DUAL-BEAM HID conversion in H4 application.
If you're still unsure as to which bulbs you have, just pull them out and it will be written on the metal part of the bulb, don't touch the glass lens though othwise the next time you turn it on, POP, there goes the bulb.
If you're just after the awsome look of HID lights though, i've got HID imitation bulbs from StarRotors.com, they cost about $25 a pair delivered, and look awsome.
By the way congrats on the new bike, those 250 ninjas look so awsome, i only wish Kawasaki would put the ER6 motor in it, twin front discs and a wider back tyre and it would be just awsome.
hope that helps clarify
cheers
Andrew

Re: HID Xenon Conversion Kits
Thanks Andrew,
Although i have been told i need a H7 now, so i'm even more confused! And i have NO idea how to take the bulbs out, and wouldnt want to fiddle around to check the bulb. I've also been emailing a few suppliers but havnt had any replies yet which has become quite annoying. i don't really understand what the "H" means, but i did notice that only one of my lights is on in low beam, which fits in with the H3.
Spose i'll have to get looking around, thanks again for your help, really appreciate it.

Or you could take it to MadKaw's, drink his beer and let the filthy hordes dismantle your bike !

Re: HID Xenon Conversion Kits
beer, yuck. can't legally drive it anyway so that's out of the question! I've got over a month before my bikes booked in for mods, so if i don't find out for sure before then, i suppose i could ask the fellas.
