My 98 zx7

Post by conrod »

Hallo everyone, first post, new memeber.
Brought my Ninja October 08, unregisterd and had been dropped, but cosmetic only. Have a mate who has a panel beating shop so no problems. Reo Ok and rode around for a week then into the shop Monday, had to use 80 grit to get the gouges out, and several welding rods to ix up the breaks,,,sprayed "Blood Orange" a ford XR6 colour, same as my sons car.
Can anyone suggest what to set the compression and rebound to?? I am 80kg

Hi mate. Welcome aboard. Suspension settings will depend on the state of the suspension and how it has been treated as well as the type of riding you do, although I'm assuming you want it for commuting? Best bet is to start with a middle setting and then take it for a ride and see how it feels. There's a lot of information out there on suspension setup stuff. But like I said, take it all with a grain of salt because it depends on the age of the suspension and your personal preference. Take a ride, tell us how she feels and what you want her to feel like and we might be of some assistance.
See here, young man,
From Walgett to the sea,
From Conroy's Gap to Castlereagh,
There's none can ride like me.

OK here are the photos of my bike, tried to upload on the first post but they were too big, had to wait till I was at a computer with the correct software to resize them
This is where she went down, other side and nose piece not ground but broken and cracked in several places, had to use 80 grit to clean up
