While I am here, when I get someone to replace the clutch cable for me. Do I need to take any farings off or anything? I am a total newbie to bikes, so not sure if you just thread it through or have to take anything off???

Are they as easy to replace as some people say??

Cheers

Well I had a crack at changing the clutch cable. I couldn't work it out, it was too complex for me. Couldn't find the line where it ran up alongside the fuel tank. I'd end up stuffing the whole lot if I continued.

So, finally got a friends hubby to agree to come and help out on saturday morning.

Cheers

Well it's all fixed now. New cable on. And there isn't ahope in hell I could have done it myself.

He had to take the fuel tank off and as much as that might be easy for some of you mechanically minded brothers, I couldn't have done it. Now to test her out once the rain and hail stop.

That wont be for a day or so.

So, instead of beer and the races as per last sat, it's beer and the cricket today! bbbrrrrrr it's cold!!!

Cheers

It wasn't bike riding weather (well for me anyway) on the weekend here. Stuff getting wet!! But yep, back out on it when it improves for sure. :)

Better have it snap when you are standing still then when you are coming into a corner too fast....

In fact, you should be glad!
