its a common problem with the 03, i have and race the rr, same problem to the extent of being dangerous, you have to replace the whole master cylinder with an older zx6 one, fixes it once and for all,

OK, so it wasn't just me imagining things when I test-rode a 636R-B1 a couple of years ago.

"Hmm, that's a_very_progressive-feeling lever... oh, wait, I've stopped."

The only thing I had trouble with was the small amount of resistance from the lever for a given (high) amount of brake pressure. Not necessarily a bad thing, just different.

So, are you guys saying that you're finding this sponginess actually affecting braking power, not just lever feel?

luckily my race bike had the conversion done to it from the chap i bought it off, however my team mate had to do his so ill find out the details,
i find it hard to believe kawasaki could produce this bike the 03RR with the standard set up, i tried my team mates and you can pull the lever to the bars , amazing

I only ridden a few other bikes and they feel stronger and yes i believe it does effect braking ability as i can pull the lever to the bars so yeah i run out of brakes... which is a very bad thing. i believe its because '03-'04 have 4 pot and previous models have 6 pot so more fluild being pushed through??

"racyzx6rr" if u could find out some details like which model to get you'd be a champ...

Cheers

I've got one from a '99 ZX6 down in the garage.

Guess this is a reason to go check just what sort of condition it's in.
