Unfortunetely she won't have a thing said against her. No comments of incompetent driving, no negligent driving charge. It's about time the police and laws stopped being so damn reactionary and actually started doing something worthwhile. I know it's not as simple as that. How do you prove that it was her fault for not looking or his fault for sitting in her blind spot. But SOMETHING more has to be done. We have so many laws governing weapons (which we can clearly see do nothing but harrass the law abiding) but either fewer, unenforced or just incredibly wrong laws governing vehicles. As usual our priorities are quite the wrong way around. Anyway, my apologies for being a little aggresive. But sometimes it's needed.

From Conroy's Gap to Castlereagh,
There's none can ride like me.

I do agree in part LOCG, but this knucklehead I'm sure could have dealt with it in a smarter way, rather than pull a gun on an incident that I bet happens everyday of the week to most people either on bikes and in cars.

How many times have you car drivers gone to change lanes and found someone there, where you want to be.

Blindspots and being lazy and not looking properly can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere.....

Well, then that settles it. It's now ok to threaten anyone who accidentally cuts you off with a shot gun.

That reminds me, tomorrow when I take my daughter to see her first live childrens show, I must remember the shotty.......

Dumb argument!
Well she IS driving a 1.5 tonne weapon missile of mass-destruction for which she must be held responsible !! end of story !! them things are killers and alot more people die every year because of dickheads like her than they do die of shot gun wounds.... mmkay.

I am not saying I would have shot her, but she needs to be told she is a dickhead at least...

this kid thinks the gangs have taken over the highways !!!!

and yes, with an arrest and a weapon being found.....its not a good look for bikers anywhere really, regardless of the circumstances.

I reckon the driver would have been shit-scared with a standard-issue mirror removal anyway ....

Wait a minute. This bint thinks its ok that she nearly killed someone "accidentally", because she said she was sorry?

Sooo ... if the wannabe gangsta with the gun says he's sorry for making her think she was about to be dead - will we be all square and the poh-leece won't need to do anymore?

Or - will they charge her with neg driving, which she has as good as confessed to - and we'll be all square? I think not.

I don't agree with his method, but I sure approve of the message.

You lot are funny. I see it everyday. Motorcyclists who don't take enough care. They sit in the blind spots of other vehicles, overtake on the left, make right hand turns onto multi-lane roads and then immediatley move into the hand lane and into the blind spot of the car driver...

She did say she cut him off. But not one of you know what led to this occuring! Maybe he was travelling at high speed and she misjudged the rate at which he was approaching, maybe he's been cutting up the middle of the traffic and she pulled in front of him.. who knows?

Having some little cockhead point a gun at you, for whatever reason, is the deplorable act in this situation.

It's also quite touching to know that you are all so damned perfect.

And for all those that can't believe that she couldn't tell the difference between a pistol and a sawn off, have you ever had a gun pointed at you?? I have a mate who is a copper. He spent 15 years in the army and is approaching his 20th year as a police officer. He recently had a gun pointed at him. He described it as a rifle. Watching the surveillance footage, it is quite clear that the weapon is a pistol. If he can make a mistake like that in such a tense situation, then I think we can forgive someone who probably does not one end of a gun from another for making the same mistake.

And as for Derryn. Shame, shame, shame.

Im with the others in saying that the coppers need to come down more heavily on people cutting people off. its dangerous, stupid, and avoidable, there is no such thing as a blind spot in a standars sedan, if the driver bothers to turn their head and actually look like theyre supposed to, the it would happen far less frequently.

That said, trucks, buses and the like, have an excuse to not see you, if you are in their blind spot (the they cant see even with a head check) then its your problem.

Im not one for pulling a gun on people, but i would gladly put my boot through a mirror or window (if theyre half down, they pop nicely) to get the message across that the driver needs to look.

just because we are smaller and less visible is no excuse for drivers not to look for us, and after scaring the life out of me, an apology doesnt cut it. its like a near miss in a workplace, If a workmate nearly killed/mamed you, and then apologised "oh sorry, i didnt realise that i almost killed you." would you just accept that, or would you punch him in the face for being a stupid fcuk who was careless?

Whether he or she are at fault for her cutting him off doesn't make a bit of difference to the main issue here. He was (allegedly) riding unlicenced and pulled a gun on someone....the knobjockey deserves all he gets (if he's found guilty)

He was just out Stunting & cruising the hume looking for some country girls to fill his Stable with his Pimpin mates & dis Bitches Stepped up in her For real ma&pa mobile & tried to deal him some death ...... so he Shizzled on her Dizzle real good.

FFS Let choppa Reed Nibble on his ears for a bit then put him in the Army & send him to Kuwait. We as a nation should be embracing this young mans Bravado, inititive & compassion. Talents surely lacking in our Emo infested paint sniffing youngen's. Surely there's a geehaaaaaaard looney somewhere in the world this bloke could through himself on to save a coupla tourists in a some shitty nightclub.

In all seriousness, He is EIGHTEEN. His brain is 7 years from being completed. Lock him up & get back to import ant stories like traffic congestion or Kevin 07's American arSe kissing trip.

PS how funny would it be if he was on a RED GPX250 Cruise missile.

Yes she cut him off and that is dangerous and can even kill some one. The storey is not complete enough to say how she cut him off. If he was unlicensed and carrying a gun then to be lane splitting at warp speed may or may not be out of the question. If he was riding in a dangerous manner he may have made himself less visible. This would then be his fault for her cutting him off. The media only print what they want you to know or believe. The female drive may or may not have cut him off or he may be responsible for that as well. It does not say. What it does say is that this brain dead Fu*&W*tt pulled a gun on another motorist. I would not have blamed her if she paniced and ran the fucker over.
