Yeah yeah, I know, nothing is perfect straight out of the box. And that is what after market products are for.

Re: zx10 Brakes 2006'
I have just bought a 04 trackie with braided lines and brembo radial m/c so I will find out soon enough however Wattie's conversion seems the best so far with the zx14 calipers (or was it the 12's?)
I have the 08 and been on the track a few times with just braided lines and so far I havent had a prob. not sure if I would call them fixed though

Re: zx10 Brakes 2006'
I spoke to Jamie Aitken today about this..
He said if they can't fix the std brakes to stop this problem, they will give a full refund of there costs.!
So ,if it doesn't work its free, if it does, its a damn site cheaper than changing MC or calipers..

CBR1000 calipers -04-07mdl, also fit and are said to make a huge improvement. See hondas are good bikes, good for making them slow down.!!!

Re: zx10 Brakes 2006'
OK so got out to Eastern Creek Yesterday.
Brakes are good. no issues at all after having the calipers serviced (cleaned and greased). Remember I do have a brembo master cylinder on but I reckon even with standard mc I would have had no problems.
Before when I would come in from a session and whack the bike on the stands to put warmers on it would be an effort to spin the front wheel as the calipers were still applying pressure to the discs. Now the wheel spins freely.
Was speaking to the missus about it and she reminded me that we get this done to the car every second service as the calipers start sticking also and you get a loud 'doonk' sound as they release. Also remembered I had to do this to an old F350 I had to get the brakes to acually stop the bloody heavy thing.
So I reckon a little bit of servicing for the calipers every now and then will do the trick.

Thats great news, im actually due for a service so think i might give the boys at aitkens a go. Do i need to speak with Jamie to get this issue sorted or are all the mechs across the issue/ fix?
My bike is also still under the 2 year warranty do you think they would fix this under warranty for me?

All the boys know what the go is. Doubt warranty would cover it as it's really just part of maintenance, but give it a go, you never know your luck. Make sure to mention your a ksrc member.

Re: zx10 Brakes 2006'
Yes the nissins are an improvement, yes the CBR 600, 1k Tokicos W/5mm spacer are in improvement and the final cure to this dilemma weather you have an 04,5,6 or 7 zx10 however the OEM radial pump on the 06,7 is an improved addition that can be drafted onto the 04,5 and brake light connection as a bonus. The ss-lines, fluid are also welcomed additions that in combination with the calipers end your brake woes.
