HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
you guys are all great, let me give you the story... it all came about with those DAMN $.04 vouchers for good 'ol SHELL SHIT gas..... u know from coles, liquor land, etc.... welp, i was saving my $.80 a fill up or so on the PULP there, when i started noticing this blue R1 at my "local" shell station...... well, the guy who owns it told me (the servo dude?) that the Lead Replacement was "softer" (or some shit like that) on valves, jets, etc, etc, etc..... cheaper (i know, i hear you ROB!)), and that it was actually BETTER than anything else, and he was running his R1 on it (yes, i listened to a yammy scammy)... anyway, off i went and only used this LRP stuff (doesn't exsist back home, so i had no clue, and your RON/octane ratings over here are WAAAAY better than ours anyway, i figured it should be okay... ours are 87-91, and sometimes can get up to 93)
ANYWAY....... it seemed fine month after month, and i was reeping the savings  (yes, i said i hear you ROB!... he always says how us americans are tight asses/cheap-skates/penny pinchers/dickheads...oh, wait, not that last one!).... so, yeah, where was i... yeah, well, it seemed fine, until recently... hard to start when it sat for a day or two (but still does), and been getting noticably rougher to ride/idle...... welp, i'm gunna listen to stu, and just ride her! i've done that in the past and it's always been good! (atleast while the riding was commencing!) but, i'll probably end up changing the spark plugs over anyway as it hasn't been done whilest i've had the bike....... 8 or so thousand K's......
thanks seriously for all your help. I liked the I-K mechanical tips! I figured it'd be a fun one in there.... i got the manual and have done all the easy stuff... oil, pads, air filter, etc......
okay, nuff 4 now.......\thx again all!

Marty, do what Hammer said. Get the right fuel in it ASAP, ride it and see how it goes. New plugs never hurt though but if if you're not too far off a service, it might be able to wait until then.
A case of 'suck-it-and-see' really. Good luck bud.

 Funny how for some of us biking folk, that sounds like a good way to spend a day
To others (normal folk some might say) it might sound a bit bduh.gif
The only downside to that is that I always seem to be the one doing the work tongue3.gif

I like that plan :) I will supply
1.BBQ,for the cremation of meat products
2.Fridge,For the large beer supply need for such a massive undertaking
3.Garage, with various kmart spanners inculding shifter and large hammer
4.Deck with pool for the bosses to sit and plan how we can fit a much larger motor to the 6,if we can`t get it back together, while downing a few more beverages.
5.A mini skip if it goes really bad and we can get any of the bike back together.

Yankee please book a date early because if you dont you may get a rum day, cause your bike will end up straight in the skip and you will have to buy a new 12
Talk soon

R O T F F L M A O etc etc etc......

Bob and I were talking about this at Fernvale today..... would be a great excuse to have a Bar-Bie!! You're right Tony, I bet non-riders would think we are all nuts! But uh, the bike doesn't need anything done to it other than new BP Ult. put in it! It seems alright, basically, and I bet she'll right herself. But hey, we could definitely still do a bbq....... you said all the right things except for a date Stu.... next weekend is prolly out due to your track day (don't wanna mess that up!) but post away in the ride day section, we'll show up bearing gifts i'm sure!!! i can "back-pack" and 12 pack no worries mAAAAAte!! and i got some snags for just such an occassion (am i am Aussie or what?!)

thanks again for all advice on this thread!
